These dice bags are to replicate the dice trays for Rolling into Math (BK23) and Math Fun “die” mentals (BK24) Dice tray games are a powerful tool for unlocking math potential in students. The 36 dice facilitate many different games and math concepts and can be used in whole class, small group, differentiated centres, and in the home. We have found that students are actively engaged with dice tray games for 20 to 30 minutes of learning, a far longer time than with paper and pencil practice. This manipulative is easy to use and fun for everyone involved. Math concepts include basic operational fluency, graphing, fractions, place value, expanding notation of whole numbers, and decimals.
