WHO SHOULD ATTEND - Early Childhood teachers Pre K - K, Early Childhood Consultants, Math Coaches Grade 1 - 2 teachers, ELL teachers working with primary
This workshop can be attended by all primary teachers, but the content will be focused on
Pre- Kindergarten - Kindergarten foundational concepts including: counting, subitizing, comparing numbers, developing the early foundations for operations including doubles, make 5, 10 , 20, counting on and back, skip counting and more. If your students have lots of gaps, this is a great session for learning early concept games that help rebuild the gaps with engaged practice. If you teach Pre K - K the activities will be great for getting your students to the primary math concepts that will be presented in their upcoming year. Games are easy to differentiated and can be used whole class, small group or in centers. I will also share ideas for hosting a PRE K - K family games night that provides teachers and administrators an opportunity to work with the new students they will be receiving in the fall. Ideas will also be shared for using the games and activities for assessment.
HANDOUT WILL INCLUDE GAMES, GAMEBOARDS, CONCEPT SKILL CHECKLISTS THAT CAN BE USED FOR ASSESSMENT. The PDF handout (which includes the ZOOM meeting link) will be made available for you to download after your transaction has been processed. We will also email the PDF to you directly.
PLEASE BRING A DECK OF CARDS AND 6 - 10 REGULAR SPOTTED DICE SO THAT YOU CAN ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN THIS SESSION.
