MASTERING MULTIPLICATION
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Upper Elementary Math teachers, Math Coaches, Middle Years Math teacher working with remedial students
PRESENTED BY BOX CARS AND ONE-EYED JACKS AUTHOR JOHN FELLING
To master multiplication facts and operations students need engaging, meaningful practice activities and card and dice games provide this context. Come prepared to play our favorite games for the following strategies: commutative property, associative property, square facts, arrays, patterns and skip counting. Games are easy to differentiate and can be used whole class, small group or in centers. If you are one of the may teachers who tell us that their students don't know multiplication, this session is for you! Great ideas for year end test preparation.
HANDOUT WILL CONTAIN GAMES, RECORDING SHEETS, CONCEPT SKILL CHECKLISTS FOR ASSESSMENT. The PDF handout (which includes the ZOOM meeting link) will be made available for you to download after your transaction has been processed. We will also email the PDF to you directly.
PLEASE BRING A DECK OF CARDS, 6 REGULAR DICE SO THAT YOU CAN ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE THROUGHOUT THE SESSION.
